The motivation behind Ezras Nashim was to respond to Emergency labor and OB/GYN emergencies; however, we are trained to respond to all emergencies. To serve the needs of the community, we are responding to pediatric, adolescent and geriatric emergencies. We also provide follow-up phone calls and visits.
When you call Ezras Nashim, you receive the highest quality emergency medical service as well as the extra support which is inherent in women as caregivers. We can assist when you find yourself as a loss and need a female caregiver… post-op, postpartum, ob/gyn, prehospital, pre-operative, terminal illnesses, blood pressure monitoring, pain management, geriatric issues… we fill in the gaps in emergency medical care.
Knowing how to save a life is a mitzvah we value and promote. Our EMTs and dispatchers are trained in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and use of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) in the event of cardiac arrest. Many of our EMTs are certified CPR trainers and have been invited to conduct CPR training at schools, doctors’ offices and at social services centers within the community.
We are here to serve and educate the community. For women interested in becoming an EMT, we offer EMT classes which include lectures and skills/lab training. Qualified applicants who join Ezras Nashim pay be eligible for partial reimbursement of EMT training tuition.
Educating the public and promoting safety is part of our community outreach mission. We participate in fairs and public health events for women and children. We also have been invited to speak and demonstrate at schools, senior centers and health fairs.
